Final damage from ignore elemental resistance
Definitions- Elemental resistance is a property intrinsic to monsters that reduces damage output. It is henceforth referred to as ER.
- Ignore elemental resistance is a stat that mitigates Elemental resistance. It is henceforth referred to as IER.
Formula for calculating IER
Let $\text{IER}_1, \ldots, \text{IER}_n$ be individual sources of IER. Then the total IER contributed by each of these sources is given by $$ \text{IER} = \text{IER}_1 + \cdots + \text{IER}_n. $$ Some sources of IER
- Insight: 5%
- Explorer mages, Luminous, BW: 10%
- Battle mages: 10% for party
- 0%: Zakum, HT, Hard Lucid 3rd phase
- 50%: Hilla, CRA, Lotus, Damien, Lucid
It will tacitly be assumed that the target of choice has 50% ER throughout this section.
Cannoneers have 0% IER from their skill set, so maxing insight for 5% IER gives $$ \frac{1 - 0.5 * (1 - 0.05)}{1 - 0.5} = 1.05 $$ Ice lightning mages have 10% IER from their skill set, so 5% IER gives $$ \frac{1 - 0.5 * (1 - 0.15)}{1 - 0.5 * (1 - 0.1)} \sim 1.045 $$ If the cannoneer benefits from a battle mage's weakenening aura, he can get an additional 10% IER for $$ \frac{1 - 0.5 * (1 - 0.15)}{1 - 0.5 * (1 - 0.05)} \sim 1.095 $$ Lastly, if the ice lightning gets 10% IER from the point last mentioned, they'd get $$ \frac{1 - 0.5 * (1 - 0.25)}{1 - 0.5 * (1 - 0.15)} \sim 1.087 $$
